 GRINNELL GAMES DOWNTOWN BASH & TASTE OF GRINNELL
DESCRIPTION: Join us downtown for live music, tons of food, family fun and a beer garden. You’ll be in the middle of all the action! Cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line in the morning, watch the Amazing Chase begin and end right on the stage and be in the middle of the course for the high-speed bike race that evening. There will be food, music and fun all day! Be sure to enjoy the Taste of Grinnell food festival from 11 am-1 pm! Also be sure to check out our incredible selection of some of Iowa’s hottest independent restaurants and hit our unique boutiques and stores.
DAY/TIME: Saturday, June 9, 9 am - 10 pm
LOCATION: Central Park and on Fourth Avenue between Broad and Park
PARTICIPATION: Open to the public

Aquatic Center WARRIOR PARTY
DESCRIPTION: The party begins with the Warrior Run! Take the challenge and compete in this Celtic/Scottish 5K race or cheer on the warriors from the sidelines. We are celebrating the would-be 100th Birthday of Ahrens Park’s founder, Claude Ahrens, this year! There will be live music, including Grinnell’s very own bagpipe band, Turlach Ur, in a performance that may remind you of their infamous RAGBRAI show last summer in Grinnell. More rock music will follow as we enjoy delicious food, ice-cold beer and family fun.
DAY/TIME: Sunday, June 10, 10:15 am
LOCATION: Ahrens Park, 1500 Penrose Street
